about

This is brief - that is on purpose. I get slightly annoyed / bored with long bios.

My full name is Jeremy Christian Andrus, and I was born in Erie, Pennsylvania. I moved (along with my family) to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1991 and have lived in the West Michigan area ever since. I now live in Holland Township (the post office says Zeeland, but my house is not inside the city limits).

I attended Calvin College for four years and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (with a concentration in electrical and computer engineering) in 2003. I plan on working towards a Masters degree at some point, but right now I am employed as an Electronics Research Engineer at Gentex Corporation.

While at Calvin College, I met my wife, Amanda, and after about 4 years of dating we were married on July 26, 2003 in Wheaton, IL. I am a professing Christian and hold the Apostle’s Creed to be an excellent summary of my core beliefs. I am a member at First Reformed Church of Zeeland, and enjoy running the sound board for morning worship.

Some other hobbies include (but are not limited to): Photography, Computers and Computer networking. I am a huge fan and user of the Linux operating system, especially as packaged by Patrick Volkerding, Debian GNU/Linux, and the Free Software Foundation.

About drink-the-kool-aid

My name is Jeremy Andrus. I am an Electronics / Software Engineer by profession, and this is my personal blog. I am by no means a philosopher, politician, religious guru or professional blogger, but I do make a mean pitcher of kool aid. Your cup is on the table. It's full, and it's black cherry - my favorite.
